DAY 2 - Sweat and Blood
LITERALLY! My 50 minute cardio yesterday was a mix of the 15 mins on the elliptical, and 35 mins on the treadmill. Now I know my URL states I hate treadmill, but I need it more than ever.
It’s already a part of my plan for today to escalate the treadmill speed up to 4 or 4.5 according to Nouf, but it was too fast for me. I am catching my breath so I put it back to 3.8 - this is my safe speed. FOR NOW. Or thought it was, at least. On through my 11th minute, Nouf appeared to check up on me. She turned the speed up to 5 and instructed me to pull back the notch to 4 after 5 minutes. Let me tell you, it was the LONGEST 5 minutes of my life, haha! I keep on telling myself to suck it up, and just do it. What is 5 minutes, right?
My middle toe suddenly felt itchy slash tangy somewhere on my 20th something minute. I have no plans on stopping so I continued. ON TO 45! Watching a movie helped a lot, actually.
Breathe, walk, breathe, walk, on and on and on. I AM STOPPING AT NOTHING. Fat calves cursing me, burning calves convincing me to pause for a while and just continue later, SWEAT. Sweat is the proof I’m making something here. So NO. STOPPING is NOT, and will NEVER be an option.
After a few minutes more, COOL DOWN appeared on my screen. I’m through. DONE. 45 minutes is over. Walked a total of 3 km and burned 200 something calories.
My feet felt wobbly the minute I left the treadmill. I don’t mind, it just felt funny. I went straight to the locker to see what’s causing pain on my RIGHT foot and this is what I found:

Yup, a bloddy toe and a bloddy sock.
