BIGGEST LOSER

Okay, remember when I said, I tried auditioning for Biggest Loser? Nope, I wasn’t lying. I really did! In fact, I auditioned for 2 Biggest Losers. One was BIGGEST LOSER ASIA (BLA) season 2 and one was PINOY BIGGEST LOSER (PBL) which is the local version in the Philippines.

The auds were both 2 yrs ago, in 2010. BIGGEST LOSER ASIA auditions happened somewhere in May and PINOY BIGGEST LOSER was July. I will not be a hypocrite here, and say that I’m a HUGE fan of the show; to be honest, I haven’t watched a complete season of it. haha!

Auditioning for the BLA is a bit scary. All the lights and cameras were very overwhelming. Right then and there, I knew I didn’t stand a chance.

Here is a pic of me and Kristy Curtis, (trainer for the red team) hours before my turn to be interviewed.

On the other hand, auditions for PBL was a bit laid back. I arrived at the audition site at around 7am and was able to go home somewhere at 9pm. I know, crazy right? I actually went as far as the 3rd screening before I was sent home.

Here is a pic of me and the new friends I had for that day. (I’m the one with a headband)

What I’ll be saying next is a bit cray: over all, the experience was fun, but meeting lots of people like me or even bigger gave me this amount of confidence, which I think is not necessary, and didn’t do me good at all. Why? It made me think that being obese is okay, that being obese is NOT BAD.

See, OBESITY in every sense of the word is DANGEROUS. I didn’t become like this because I was meant to be like this. I chose to be obese. I chose my love for food than being healthy. I chose to slack off. I chose not to exercise. This is all me.

OBESITY is a choice, I have chosen it for so long; now I choose to FIGHT it.
