DAY 4 - Support System
You all know that our skeleton is the framework of our body, right? Our bones, ligaments, and tendons bear our weight. I really find it amazing how our body is structured, especially mine. It’s just crazy how my skeletal system has been supporting all this weight I have.
Let’s put it this way, my normal body weight should be somewhere in between 134 - 151 lbs which is roughly 65 - 70 kgs. Currently, I’m weighing 129.4 kilograms. Yes, that’s ONE HUNDRED TWENTY NINE FREAKING KILOS! Mathematically, it’s almost as twice as my SHOULD BE weight. Just imagine, it’s as if my skeletal system has been supporting 2 bodies all these years. ALL THESE YEARS - really messed up.
Anyway, I have mentioned this in my previous post that presently, I am living in Saudi Arabia. I don’t know if you know this, but unlike the rest of the world, middle east weekend isn’t Saturday and Sunday. *insert surprise looks and gasps here* Yup, you read it right. Weekend here is Thursday and Friday, * insert surprise looks and gasps here again* and Friday being a holy day to our Muslim brothers and sisters, Kinetico gym was closed.
Fortunately, a friend of Mom’s heard about my journey to radical lifestyle change and she supports me all the way. By all the way, I meant she invited me over to their hospital gym to workout. I did 20 minutes on the stationary bike and 30 minutes on treadmill. In total, I think I burned roughly 400 calories. I look at the myself after workout and the blush I see on my face is cute. It makes me smile. Generally, I feel happy.
